I, Daniel Blake (2023)
I was lucky enough to play a small part in the world stage premiere of I, Daniel Blake working as sound designer with Composer Ross Millard (The Futureheads).

Adapted by Dave Johns (who played Dan in the film), from the BAFTA award winning film directed by Ken Loach, written by Paul Laverty, and produced by Rebecca O’Brien for Sixteen Films. Directed by Mark Calvert and starring David Nellist, Bryony Corrigan, Kema Sikazwe (reprising his role as China), Jodie Wild, Micky Cochrane and Janine Leigh.

The show is touring twice in 2023 and with over half of the shows completed has had standing ovations from every audience, a testament to the brilliant team involved and the relevance of the stories being told. This is not fiction.

A tiny dragon Productions and ETT co-production in association with Northern Stage. Originally co-produced with Birmingham Rep and Oldham Coliseum.
